The Affordable Housing Trust, Town Manager's Office, and Planning & Economic Development Office will host a public forum to discuss the update to the Town's Housing Production Plan & solicit public feedback on November 20, 2024 at 2PM at the Center for Active Living.

The Town began work to update our Housing Production Plan (HPP) over the summer using a technincal assistance grant through the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments. In Massachusetts, these plans are not only a framework for housing policy and guiding document for potential development, but municipalities that have a current HPP are eligible for a variety of grants. Tyngsborough to date has received more than a half a million dollars from these grant programs. 

The update of the Housing Production Plan is a collaboration between Town Administration, the Select Board, the Planning Board, and the Affordable Housing Trust. To date, the Town has hosted several public events where public input was solicited and received nearly 100 responses to a housing survey.

Before being adopted, the Planning Board and Select Board will hold public hearings on the matter.
