Built before January 1, 1975, through residences permitted on or after February 4, 2011.
Note: Residents need to Fill out this application for inspection of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms prior to their closing.

The Tyngsborough Fire Department schedules inspections Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Inspections are done by the on-duty staff who try to make the best effort to arrive promptly; however, attending to emergency calls is our priority.
Sale of Property - 26F 1/2
Fill out the application for inspection of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms as required by Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 148, Sections 26F, 26F1/2, and 527 CMR 1 Section 13.7. Please note: any certificate issued in accordance with provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 148, Sections 26F, 26F1/2 expires sixty (60) days after issuance by the head of the Fire Department. You may apply for this permit on someone else's behalf. After submitting your application, you will receive a call from the Fire Department to schedule your inspection.

Re-inspection fees may be charged for all above-failed inspections or cancellations and will be at the discretion of the Fire Chief or designee.
