The Town of Tyngsborough is pleased to announce a partnership with Black Earth Compost to provide drop off service for residential compost.
As of January 16, 2024, residents have 24/7 access to two (2) 64-gallon bins at the Highway Department located at 89 Kendall Road, Tyngsborough MA. These bins will accept all residential compost & will be collected weekly by black-earth compost. The first year of this service is being funded through external recycling grants awarded to the Town.
The bins are clearly labeled & residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with what they can and cannot compost before utilizing this service. Any load that is contaminated will need to be disposed of at the Town's expense. There are absolutely no plastic bags permitted in the bins, only compostable-certified bags.
Residents can visit www.blackearthcompost.com to learn more about what they can and cannot compost. Additionally, please review the informational graphics below to learn more.
