The Town Manager's Office and Tyngsborough Media are thrilled to announce the Inaugural Session of the Tyngsborough Civic Leadership Academy which will run from August 21st through October 16th.
The Tyngsborough Civic Leadership Academy aims to give Tyngsborough residents a greater understanding of their local government, stimulate future interest in serving on boards and committees, increase resident participation, and build relationships with Town government.
This nine-week program will be held on Wednesday evenings from August 21 to October 16. Graduation will be on October 22 at the Special Town Meeting.
Class times will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will be held at various locations around Tyngsborough, to be determined by the presenting departments. Staff are hard at work finalizing the syllabus but topics to be covered include:
- Overview of the way that Tyngsborough is governed;
- Municipal finance and budgeting;
- Land Use & Inspectional Services
- Public Safety
- Public Works
- Elections & Town Meeting
